Hello everyone, thank you so much for your support for Arcadian Days so far, as a solo developer it is quite hard but I am very passionate about delivering a relaxing experience that can be enjoyed by all ages!
A lot of hard work has gone on this newest update which is just the first of many that will come until the end of the year that will improve on the gameplay of Arcadian Days and add exciting content.
Quick note, as this update changes a lot of the code of the game, YOU WILL NEED TO START A FRESH SAVE and previous saves will not work. The experience should however feel now, and this should be the only time you will be required to do this.
Let's explore :
Settings option now available in the Pause menu!
Thoughts system that serves as a hint system. It is still a bit of work in progress, please do leave your feedback as I wish to strike a good balance between the game not holding your hand while not being frustrating.
Controller support should now work very well and smoothly.
Game now auto-saves and there should be no more problems with saving and quests not working properly.
Updated to Unreal Engine 5.7 and a lot of work went into optimization, the game should now run much smoother on a variety of set ups.
Re-worked tutorial area that is better paced and engaging while explaining much clearer the systems involved in the game.
New collectibles.
New curiosities spread throughout the map! Can you find them all?
I am currently working on the next part of this update, which will add fast travel (it is currently a bit buggy and tricky so it is not available in this update), a new environment and new activities!
Arcadian Days is also currently 40%, so please do buy it and leave a review if you enjoy it! The journey has just started and there is much more to come!
As always, please do leave your feedback and join us on Discord to talk to our friendly community!
