Hello Agents!
A.A.U. Black Site's next and biggest update is almost here! The grind has been non-stop to create the biggest update since the Early Access launch. A lot is coming your way, so we thought it was about time you got the briefing.
Enjoy this sneak peek at the next update.
A Bloody Good Update
One of the most visually and viscerally impactful additions is the new GPU-accelerated blood system. It uses GPU instancing to render tens of thousands of blood decals with almost no performance cost, which opened the door to things we couldn't do before.
Blood now splashes onto ceilings, drips down, and pools on the floor underneath. It also dries over time, slowly shifting to a darker brown. Rooms end up telling the story of what happened in them.
Highlights
Players can expect quite a lot from this update.
Reworked sections of Chapter 1
Brand new VFX and sound systems for weapons and blood
Enemy AI written from the ground up
New A.A.U. Agent voice lines
Full controller support (Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo) with rebinding
A new major horror encounter, plus more horror content throughout
Significantly better performance in scenes that used to be heavy
Enemy AI Overhaul
The new enemy AI. Enemies now use real cover and team tactics, constantly re-evaluating based on their numbers, positions, health, fear, and experience. All of those factors feed into how they behave moment to moment, so no two fights play out the same way.
Paired with the new voice acting, encounters have become far more unpredictable and much more challenging.

Made With Player Feedback
We are listening!
First off, huge thanks to our players for taking the time to give feedback and suggestions. We love to hear it, the good, bad, and the ugly all help us to continue to improve A.A.U. for everyone.
Controller Support was one of our most requested, and we are thrilled that it is coming soon in this update. Along with invert X/Y look, both came straight from community feedback.
Thank you again! To leave your thoughts with us, please join our Discord or use the Training Room in-game. 🫶

Not much longer now! This has been our biggest update yet, but we are finally looking at the finish line. Keep your radios on the news, this update is dropping in late September.
See you soon in a much bloodier and scarier Uzovnica,
