Family isn’t who you’re born with, it's who you die for. It's been 10 years since Mafia III made its debut on October 7, 2016, following Lincoln Clay as he blazes a violent path of revenge through the mob-run city of New Bordeaux in 1968. To celebrate, we're honoring a decade of Lincoln's legacy with a new Steam update bringing quality-of-life enhancements to Mafia III: Definitive Edition, live now.
Mafia III: Definitive Edition Steam Update Notes - Oct 8
Highlights
Smoother mission progression: We addressed several spots where players reported getting stuck and unable to make progress in missions like "Get Enzo Conti," "Kill Tommy Marcano," and the Epilogue. No more dead ends when you're trying to finish the story. We also addressed reported crashes that could happen while driving into the Wharf, shooting a gas canister during "Destroy Boosted Car Shipment," or unlocking certain achievements mid-drive.
Improvements to Achievement tracking: Addressed reported issues with progress towards certain Achievements to ensure that your accomplishments are accurately tracked.
Better NPC and companion behavior: Characters like Alcee, Father James, and others didn't always behave as expected during missions, sometimes blocking your progress. We've cleaned up their behavior so missions flow the way they're meant to.
