Eléonore Virelai was born in the coastal village of Montrevaux, in southern France, where cliffs meet the sea and old legends still whisper through fields of lavender. The only child of a cartographer and a clockmaker, Eléonore grew up surrounded by maps and timepieces—learning early on that everything in the world has a place, a rhythm, a reason.
At seventeen, she stumbled upon an old diary hidden in the back of her grandfather’s bookstore. Inside were records of a secret society known as The Silent Orb, long thought to be extinct. Its mission had been to protect magical artifacts scattered across medieval Europe. Among the notes was a strange symbol—a virelai, three interlocked circles—the same design engraved on a pendant passed down from her late mother, who had died under mysterious circumstances when Eléonore was a child.
Driven by the mystery and an unshakable sense of belonging, Eléonore left Montrevaux to follow clues left behind by forgotten members of the Silent Orb. With her skills in mapmaking and mechanics, she journeys across Europe, decoding ancient messages and uncovering fragments of a hidden history.
Now, Eléonore moves between shadows and ruins, guided by the pendant and her resolve. She is determined to uncover the truth about her mother—and restore the legacy of The Silent Orb before others silence it forever.
