Hey everyone,
I wanted to take a moment to share something a bit different. Final Fall can now be nominated for the Steam Awards in the Story-Rich category. I know my chances of winning are practically zero, but that’s not really the point.
When I started making this game, I wasn’t trying to chase popularity or make something easy to love. I wanted to tell a story that felt real in its pain. A story about guilt, loss, and the way the mind can turn against you. It’s dark, uncomfortable, and sometimes heavy to get through, but that’s the world Ophelia lives in.
The game has a small following, a few hundred players, and a handful of mixed reviews. But what truly matters to me is that no one ever said the story fell flat. Every message, every small comment about how it made someone feel something that’s what keeps me going.
So even though I’m just one person making this thing, I wanted to put Final Fall forward for the Story-Rich category. It’s my way of saying that stories like this still matter, even when they come from tiny places.
If Final Fall resonated with you, or if you think it deserves a small voice among the big names, I’d be grateful for your nomination.
Thank you for giving Ophelia’s story a chance.
