MAJOR EA UPDATE, HOTFIX 1

Thanks for the reports since the Major Update went live — here is the first round of fixes. More to come as we work through them.

BALANCE

• Critical hits reined in. The hero's base critical chance drops to 15%, and a critical hit now deals ×1.5 damage instead of ×2. Crits were doing the heavy lifting for every build and flattening the choice between Echoes — they are meant to be something you build towards, not a default. Crit-focused Echoes still add on top of these values.

ECHOES

• Fixed a forged Echo (e.g. Livewire upgraded at the forge) being offered again at its base tier by Thul'Noss' statue. Taking it left you holding both tiers.

• Static Volley is now hidden until you own Storm Conduit. It only fires on stunned targets, and nothing else in the pool stuns.

VISUAL FIXES

• Fixed Echo trails (Cinder Trail and friends) running forever after taking a portal mid-dash.

• Fixed status words (GILDED, POISON, BURN…) popping on every single hit instead of once when the status lands. Fixed the opposite case too: Venom re-applied fast enough went permanently silent.

• Fixed the Mimic's health bar never showing up for the whole fight.

• Invasion defences now use the same health bar style as the hero instead of the old one.

CRASHES

• Fixed a crash when opening the stat panel after changing level.

• Fixed a crash when an enemy area attack was telegraphed over water or a river after changing level.

Keep the reports coming. the crash ones in particular came straight from your uploaded crash dumps.
