What is Astromattech?
Astromattech is a top-down, Twin-Stick Shooter / Bullet Hell game designed to challenge your skills and engross you in a cooperative experience like no other.
From a young age, Video Games have given me a sense of freedom and adventure; I vividly remember the days when I'd go to my friend's house, Gameboy in hand and we'd lose ourselves playing games like Pokémon and Mario until the streetlights turned on and we knew it was time to go home. As I grew, so did the games we'd play, from Pokémon to Halo, from RuneScape to World of Warcraft and many, many different worlds.
One thing however remained constant, the joy of exploring new realms side by side with my friends, sharing the experience together.
It is this very feeling that has inspired me to create Astromattech, this game is about cooperation, leveraging your teammates unique abilities to defeat waves of mighty robots, fierce bosses and alien invaders. Complete challenging objectives and explore a galaxy of different environments and settings. It's not just about the gameplay but about the experience of working together towards a common goal.
Astromattech is set in a distant galaxy where artificial intelligence has surpassed humanity and robotics dominate. Your only goal is progress, defeating your enemies, salvaging their parts and using their loot to create new machinery, discover new technology and become the ultimate robot there is.
You'll start off as a damaged, lonesome servant droid with a corrupted hard drive. You're lost with no recollection of who you are or where you've come from and as far as the lens can see you're stranded in a desolate wasteland filled with the waste of those before you. Your first task is simple, you need to escape these ruins and establish a base of operations. It's from here that the adventure unfolds. Raid enemy bases, explore hostile planets, battle waves of pirates, raiders and creepy aliens. Every encounter brings its own unique challenge, survival is the ultimate goal.
Are you ready to rebuild, create and annihilate?
