Hi everybody!
We gave tons of demos and interviews for Slap Out Of It! to press and content creators at Summer Game Fest Play Days, and the reception was absolutely amazing! Here are a few highlights:
Game informer called it "a delightfully funny game" and put us on their "Best of Summer Game Fest" list. They also covered the game extensively on the Game Informer Show.
Jason Schreier said it was a highlight of his time at Play Days on the Triple Click podcast, and also talked a bit about the game's history with Floor Plan and VR.
Gamertag Radio absolutely loved their time with the game, and even named it a candidate for for "game of show"
Stephen Totilo at Game File named Slap Out Of It among his favorites, and called it "one of the most enjoyable demos of SGF."
MinnMax included us among a handful of indies in their Summer Game Fest roundup, with discussion from Kelsey Lewin and guest EllieJoyPanic. We wear the comparisons to the humor of Banjo-Kazooie and The Muppets with honor.
Easy Allies included us in the first day of their SGF coverage with glowing impressions.
No Small Games said it was one of their favorite games from Day of the Devs and talked about the game more on their SGF podcast as well, praising the its stupid humor and clever puzzles.
Over at lookingfor.game, Lucy James named us one of her five favorites from Day of the Devs.
Remap's Patrick Klepek interviewed Holden and Nic from our team on his dev diary.
Tech Raptor called it a "seriously good puzzle game" and wrote about our puzzle design philosophy.
GamingTrend's David Burdette said he was "grinning from ear to ear as I played" and called it "a blast to play."
We also finally got to meet up with Ben Starr in person when he brought a couple friends to check out the game. It was a blast working with Ben on the trailer, and he was happy to confirm the game is "so stupid."

There's still more coverage from Summer Game Fest coming in every day. We also want to give a shoutout to the other games we shared a quad with at Play Days - Screenbound, Mr. Records, and Super Yooka-Laylee Kart. All the devs and reps were lovely people and their games looked amazing!
Participating in an event like that and preparing a demo took the full attention of our small team - but now we're getting back to work on the game! Please ask any questions in the comments below or in the Steam forum. We'll continue to share development updates here, and we're active on Bluesky, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Thanks so much!
