Galactic Prospectors 1.002.005 - Patch Notes
This update fixes a few crashes and bugs, and also introduces a QOL change for Workshop items.
Multiplayer changes & fixes
- Your standing with AI factions now syncs correctly. Previously a client's reputation changes, war declarations and peace deals were sent out as the host's standing, so what you saw could differ from what the host was simulating. The host is now the single authority for every player's standing, and each player receives their own.
- Reputation changes from missions and events now reach the player who earned them. They used to stay on the host (or dedi servr).
- Joining a session now syncs your own faction standings from the host, not just the host's (or dedi server).
- Faction state can no longer be written by another client. Only the session host (or dedi server) can change it.
- Custom ship hulls (blueprints) now transfer between players on dedicated servers. A blueprint's art used to be delivered player-to-player, which a dedicated server never forwarded, so other pilots saw the default hull. The server now relays it.
Workshop changes & fixes
- Workshop uploads get a proper preview image: the Galactic Prospectors starfield backdrop with your content on top. Blueprints show the ship. Mods show their own picture when the mod folder contains one (preview.png, thumbnail.png, icon.png or logo.png), otherwise a default geneeric badge for the mod type. You can still pick any image of your own in the publish dialog.
Other changes & fixes
- Tooltips and dropdowns could come up blank on some systems when the graphics driver refused to give them their own swapchain.
- Quitting from the main menu now shuts Steam networking down cleanly instead of leaving sessions open behind the process.
Dedicated server owners: please update your server(s).
