Hey everyone!
When we released our little cozy game in Early Access 6 months ago, we were juggling many things at the same time and not paying a lot of attention to Steam updates but are planning on changing that from now on.
The first three levels of Bearly Awesome reflect our core idea for the game - fun, easy progression and cute chonky aesthetic. After playtesting with some gamers from around the world, we got some amazing feedback and focused on fixing some bugs they spotted and making the gameplay more pleasant.
Now, it's time to expand the world of Snuzzleland and bring new interations inside the game, so you can experience the full joy and mischief of being a bear[lie] in our game.
We're currently working on 3 additional levels scheduled to release in April that will introduce:
🦖 New enemies and ways they attack you
🟢 A scary (but fun) blob boss our loyal Bearlie Vanguard community on Discord named Blorb.
🏕 New Campground and Deep Woods levels with more environmental interactions and obstacles
🍎 Bear boxes you can loot for tasty treats to restore health points
🍄 Giant mushrooms you can bonk to shoot spores and deal more damage to enemies
🌳 New and varied environments and assets to bring the world of Snuzzleland to life
In addition to the things listed above, we're working on adding and tweaking more in-game systems to make the bear journey a truly epic one!
We've already written a lot of new convos for the chick NPCs to guide you through the new levels and make your experience a fun one.
Another update was the introduction of the Bearlie Vanguard role on our Discord, which gives players co-creator privileges inside Bearly Awesome. You can vote on and decide on the progression of the game, name characters, pick assets and shape the direction of what we're building. We truly want this to be a positive, shared experience for everyone involved and welcome any and all feedback!
Thank you to everyone who's left a review, joined us in Discord to share their feedback directly or is simply following our bearlies' journey online. A 76.2% CTR on Steam since Early Access release is not something we thought was even possible but the continuous interest in what our bearlies are up to really makes us smile. 🤗
p.s. almost forgot, we also updated the trailer on and off Steam so you get a better idea of the belly-bumping action you're in for:
