Iron Trident — The Crew Finally Talks Back
This patch wires up a full voiceover system across the entire match flow, gives every shell impact a satisfying confirmation kick, and fixes the long-standing oddity where switching to your ATGM at match start made you wait 8 seconds for a missile that was clearly already in the breech.
The theme: tighter feedback, every action.
Gameplay demo:
What’s New
Tank crew voiceovers Your loader, gunner, and commander now actually react to what’s happening. Battle begun, target destroyed, ricochet, no penetration, we got hit, module damaged, reloading, repair started, repair finished, ATGM launched, artillery called, match won, match lost — each line has multiple variants to avoid repetition. Lines are prioritized so important events (like kill confirmations) interrupt minor chatter.
Enemy hit confirmation SFX That satisfying thunk when you deal damage. Plays alongside voice lines with a short cooldown so artillery splash chains don’t become noise.
Splash damage feels like damage Near-miss artillery hits now trigger hit confirmation just like direct shots. You finally get proper feedback for the strike you called in.
Quality of Life
Preloaded loadouts at match start Every slot is ready immediately. Pick ATGM early → it fires instantly. After first use, normal reload rules apply.
Floating damage numbers stack Multiple hits or module destructions now display simultaneously instead of canceling each other out.
Dead wrecks stay dead Destroyed tanks no longer trigger hit confirmations, voice lines, or damage numbers. (They still explode visually — just no more “credit for shooting a corpse.”)
Hit SFX volume reduced by 25% Better balance with the overall audio mix.
Fixes
Reload chatter spam fixed You now only hear reload lines for your tank — not every tank on the map.
ATGM first-use reload bug fixed No more 8-second delay for a missile that should already be ready.
Module destruction indicators fixed “ENGINE DESTROYED”, “GUN DESTROYED”, etc. now appear reliably.
Bots respect artillery range AI is now bound by the same targeting limits as players.
See you on the battlefield.
