Hey N.O.R.M.s
This patch focuses on tackling one particularly elusive scrap payout bug and smoothing out some core systems for better gameplay and stability.
The update is currently live on the Beta Branch so players who’ve been affected can help confirm the fix before it goes to the main build. Thank you to everyone who’s been patient while I track this down!
🧩 How to Access Beta Branch
Right-click No Time For Pants in your Steam Library.
Select Properties → Betas.

🔧 Scrap System Fixes
Reworked the Scrap Container payout logic to prevent cases where scrap totals didn’t increase despite destroying items.
Added redundancy checks and improved reliability for tracking scrap conversion events.
If you still encounter a payout issue, please share what you scrapped, where, and your scrap totals before/after in Discord or Steam Discussions if you can - it helps a lot!
💼 Gameplay Adjustments
Ammo Loot Drops - removed single-bullet rolls from ammo crates and tuned drop tables to yield fewer, higher-quality ammo bundles. This should noticeably reduce FPS spikes and make pickups feel more meaningful.
Loot Drop - reworked loot spawning logic to mitigate loot falling through the floor.
Jump & Fall Rework - major logic cleanup for vertical movement and falling transitions. This sets up future level designs with more vertical gameplay (gaps, ledges, fall-through floors, etc.).
Some doors may still trigger the falling animation unexpectedly - I’ll continue refining this.
Enemy Spawn Tweaks (Medical Alert 0) - slightly reduced enemy count for a smoother early experience for new players.
Enemies that have guns - Slightly decreased they engage you from
