Checksum: 66ac
Date: November 3rd, 2026
Previous Patch: 1.4.6

Economy
The trade range check now uses the same route cost as transport costs, so a market shown inside trade range never pays a distance surcharge.
Diplomacy
Malek Ashraf now correctly joins the Chobanids when they are released from the Jalayirids.
The Join Union, Tatar Yoke and Red Turban diplomatic actions are no longer offered, as countries cannot join these organizations directly.
When two unions merge, the existing senior partner now keeps seniority unless the other senior partner has at least 125% of its economical base, as with Take Over Seniority.
Added the Tariff Dispute casus belli, available against any country whose markets charged you tariffs last month. Winning lets you demand a tariff exemption, which the loser cannot revoke until the truce ends.
Opinion is no longer counted twice in the Lend Unit to Ally acceptance chance.
A ruler leaving on an expedition such as a Pilgrimage no longer cancels the ongoing votes in their Personal Union.
Other
Hired courtiers now have fully random skills instead of mirroring the ruler's skills, so eunuch courtiers no longer favor Administrative skill.
Tribesmen no longer count toward the population limit for starting a colonial charter, so large tribal locations such as Katwe can be colonized again.
Adopt Estate Religion character action for Ruler and Heir

Situations
Fixed the Morocco AI using "Invoke Umayyad Legacy" to declare the "War to Restore the Umayyad Caliphate" on its own allies and on banking-house countries such as Mendes.
Prevented Castile from using the "Demand Parias" action on Granada for 10 years after Granada wins a war against Castile.
Fixed Granada's "Reduce Castilian Influence" and "Reduce Moroccan Influence" actions in the Battle for the Strait only appearing in the sidebar instead of notifying the affected player.
International Organizations
Fixed the Lordship of Ireland "Loyalist" status not being removed after a religion change and the "Lieutenant" status not being removed when its ruler is a child or shares the Lord's ruler.
Fixed Sunni and Shia countries being able to join the same jihad through the "Issue a Fatwa", "Offer Recognition" and "Levy the War Zakat" recruitment invites.
Events
Fixed the Pacific Crossing expedition always failing with the "Expedition Lost" pop-up after picking the first or second option of the "The Island of Cloves" event (pacific_crossing_events.5).
Fixed the "The saint has blessed us. Now we return home." option of the "The Sailors' Saint" pilgrimage event (pilgrimage_expedition_events.11) listing both failing and resuming the expedition.
Fixed the Portuguese "All Eyes Upon Ceuta" event (flavor_por.61) firing when Ceuta is owned by a subject of a Portuguese ally.
Fixed the Irish flavor events "ireland.10" to "ireland.50" practically never firing, including "The Gallowglass" (ireland.50).
Fixed releasing Gafsa or Bijaya as a fiefdom repeatedly triggering the Hafsid "Succession of Gafsa" event (flavor_tun.16) and granting free gold.
Government
Fixed the "Stavraton Coins" policy not removing the impact of Gold on Inflation.
Clarified the "Adelantamiento System" law tooltip to state that the "Appoint Adelantado Mayor" interaction also requires Castile's first milestone in the "Battle for the Strait" situation.
Fixed switching back to the "Itinerant Court" policy keeping a "Local Governor" built under another court, which gave an extra proximity source.
Diplomacy
Fixed the "Demand the Submission of Granada" casus belli being creatable while having a truce with Granada.
Fixed the High Kingship of Ireland "Subjugate Member" action being unavailable when allied with, truced with or subject to the High King, or when there is no High King.
Fixed the "Execute" character interaction allowing the pretender of an ongoing succession crisis to be executed, instantly ending the crisis.
Military
Fixed the "Italian Galleass" unit only being recruitable in locations with Ligurian culture, instead of by any country that has researched its advance.
Advances
Fixed the Age 4 and Age 5 "Saqaliba" unit advances being researchable without the "Dār aṣ-Ṣaqāliba" advance, leaving the units unrecruitable, and becoming unresearchable once European Dominance dropped below 100.

Walkthrough
Fixed the "Unpausing" tutorial lesson recommending game speed 6, which does not exist; it now recommends speeds 3 or 4.
Hints
Adjusted the Castilian starting advice for Local Governors to account for the starting "Seat of the Itinerant Court" in Sevilla, suggesting Cordoba and Toledo instead and adding a short introduction to the seat.

Government
AI countries now use Support Heir to back a candidate for elective thrones that have a regent and no heir.
Military
AI armies no longer stop short of their destination when their movement is locked, such as an army reinforcing a battle that ended before it arrived.

Panels
Fixed CTD when retrieving a location owner from UI when using mods.
Tooltips
The Combined Arms Bonus tooltip now shows the unit category breakdown even when there is no bonus, including categories below the minimum share.
Hire Courtier tooltip now shows the actual chance to hire an Eunuch instead of a 10-100% range -
Culture, religion and pop type "population in country" conditions now show pop sizes in the same format as the rest of the UI -
Fixed several issues with the Share Maps diplomatic action tooltips where it would show completely unrelated reasons as to why the action was not possible towards certain countries.

Settings
Fixed game CTD on startup with 0xc0000409 when Windows user profile path contains non-ASCII characters (more specific when using Chinese-locale Windows).
