After a patch made yesterday, we have received reports of users losing their save in SHAPE & TRACE: Definitive Edition. To restore your save file, please follow the steps below:
Open your file explorer
Click "This PC" on the left sidebar
Click C: drive
Click on the Users folder & find the folder matching your username on your computer. Once found, click on it to open the folder
Open the AppData folder
Open the LocalLow folder
Open the STUDIO LOOK folder
Open the TRACE Definitive Edition folder
This is how the address bar in your file explorer should appear: C:\\Users\\USERNAME\\AppData\\LocalLow\\STUDIO LOOK\\TRACE Definitive Edition
Open "savedata.txt" in notepad or text editor
Press CTRL + F and type this into the search bar: saveexists
Press Enter - if you see ":false" next to this, change this text to "true" and save the file (no quotations)
Reopen TRACE: Definitive Edition and your save file should be restored
