Hello everyone!
As Nebula Nova Games, we have a simple principle: Any technology we develop for one game, we bring into all of our games. That rock‑solid framework we built for Shadow Mansion 2 is now fully integrated into The Brothers Hotel
. We’ve also gone through your more “special” complaints one by one and fixed them.
Here it is: the update that takes us from a scrappy little indie feel to a truly professional experience:
🚀 PART 1: GLOBAL TECH REVOLUTION (Nebula Nova Standards)
We’ve brought over the smooth, professional backbone you loved in our other games:
🎮 1. Steam Deck & Handheld Friendly
The game now automatically optimizes menus and text sizes for Steam Deck and portable consoles. Being terrified on the go has never been this comfortable.
⚙️ 2. No More Stutter, Just Pure Smoothness
In a horror game, your worst enemy shouldn’t be monsters, but sudden frame hitches.
Shader Pre‑Compilation:
We now pre‑load shaders during level transitions. No more freezing when you open a doorjust tension that flows like oil in the dark.DLSS, FSR & TSR Support:
Don’t say “My GPU can’t handle this.” We’ve baked in the latest AI upscaling tech. You’ll get high FPS without sacrificing image quality.35+ Graphics Settings:
From fog quality to shadows, you can tune every little detail to match your system.
💽 3. Professional Save System: The Era of Slots
Save Slots:
You’re no longer stuck with a single save file. You can create separate saves like Slot 1, Slot 2, and so on.Detailed Info:
You can instantly see, right from the menu, how far you’ve progressed in each slot and how many hours you’ve played.
🗣️ 4. Subtitle Chaos, Begone
Smart Priority System:
The game now “understands” who’s talking and which sounds are critical to the story. Subtitles no longer overlap, and you won’t miss key story beats.
🖥️ 5. RTX 4090‑Friendly Optimization
We’re not slamming your GPU at 100% and turning your room into a sauna while you sit in the menu. We’ve built a structure that uses system resources efficiently instead of draining them dry.
🛠️ PART 2: HOTEL RENOVATION (Fixes from Your Feedback)
We’ve overhauled the tech, but we didn’t forget your specific complaints either:
ESC Menu Lock:
The game no longer freezes when you hit ESC to pause. You can now tweak your settings with peace of mind. The Endless Void:
The issue where you could step outside the hotel or pass through certain doors and fall under the map has been fixed. The floor is solid now!Inventory Confusion: The issue where “I have Bolt Cutters in my inventory but it says Bathroom Key”
has been resolved. Every item now has the correct name and appearance.Fair Checkpoint System: We heard your frustration: “I played for 45 minutes, died, and got sent back to the very beginning!”
We’ve increased the frequency of checkpoints. The tension remains, but the unfair punishment is gone.Vehicle Controls:
The car driving in the opening scene now meets modern standards. The inverted axis issue has been fixed.Font Fixes:
Those “square box” text glitches, especially in Korean and Chinese, have been resolved.
❤️ A Sincere Note
We’ve also taken note of your feedback on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
and our storytelling. We’re a very small teampeople who work by day and sacrifice sleep at night to make games. Because of budget constraints, we’ve had to rely on some AI support in certain areas. But with this update, we’ve made adjustments to make the story flow clearer and easier to follow. As we grow with your support, we’ll keep delivering more and more truly “hand‑crafted” content.
The Brothers Hotel
is now what it was meant to be: smarter, more stable, and far more terrifying.
Now turn off the lights, put on your headphones, and give the hotel one more chance.
