We now conclude this series of spotlights with the final team, Team Shinigami. Please note that all gameplay shown on the gifs are still a work in progress and are subject to change.

Pro: Good control of the ball and capable of entering the opponent's field
Con: The longest meter out of any character with the highest cost
She was sent by Yukari to investigate the latest incident, but she can't help but have a little fun while she's at it. With her computational abilities, she has impressive control of the ball. You may find that each type of ball hit may suit a particularly need more so than any other character. Her movements are more or less average, so her best approach with the ball is to practice knowing what type of hit to use in what situation. On the side of abilities, she has powerful attacks that can overwhelm the opponent due to the sheer amount of projectiles she can produce. But this comes at a cost, a great cost. Just like in our current economy, the costs are outrageously inflated. Both her projectile and desperation meter are the longest of any character with their activation having equally high cost. You will be grazing and collecting ammunition for a long while before you can actually use any of her attacks. But the price may be worth the cost as you may end up with a very powerful character if you know when to use them.

Her projectile has her summon a tiny star, but as the star slowly travels to the opponent's side, it will grow in size. If it touches anything other than the ball, or if you press the projectile button again, it will explode into smaller stars. The bigger it gets, the more stars that are shot out.

Her bomb causes all of the opponent's projectiles to be drawn to her. Once the bomb button is pressed, Ran will collect all of the opponent's projectiles, causing them to hover around her. After a while, all of the collected projectiles convert into projectiles of her own. During this state, you can cross over into the opponent's side as she continues to pollinate the field with her projectiles. Once she exhausted her supply, she returns to her side of the field.

Her desperation has her spin really fast, and in this state, tap the desperation button to shoot out a barrage of projectiles. This in itself may not be much as the spinning does not protect you from projectiles, and while the desperation meter drains slowly, shooting your projectiles takes a considerable amount of the meter. But if you managed to save up your projectile and bomb, you can overwhelm the opponent with so many projectiles on screen, you'll be forcing the opponent to play in lunatic difficulty.

Pro: Great speed with capability of entering the opponent's field
Con: Abilities may feel like they lack something extra
The little shinigami whose more than excited to play some volleyball. What cat doesn't love chasing a ball and Chen is no exception. She has very quick movements and while her hitting power isn't all that impressive, it is by no means lacking. Utilize her speed more so than hitting the ball and you should find Chen to be a very good character to use. The use of her abilities, on the other hand, may not be impress most players. They are still good and you may find uses for them in strategy, but they may feel "off" if you are used to the ways other characters use their abilities. But despite these shortcomings, there may be secrets waiting to be uncovered.

Her projectile has her spinning around and spreading her projectiles in a spiral pattern. A beautiful display of danmaku but perhaps it would be more appropriate in a actual bullet-hell as it may seem as a waste to some players. Could there be a way to utilize all of her bullets to attack the opponent?

Her bomb also has her spinning but this time she collects bullets. But while every other character has the bullets automatically affected or attract the opponent's bullets, Chen has to gather the bullets manually. If the entire field is full of the opponent's projectiles, it should be no problem for you but not for your partner as they will still have to dodge any bullets coming their way. Be sure to not use this bomb to help your partner unless you are close to them to collect the bullets. After a short time passes, Chen will convert all collected projectiles into her own and shoot them at the opponent. The more you collect, the more projectiles will be shot out. If none are collected, she will merely shoot out a small burst. And if you want to shoot your projectiles early, simply tap the bomb button again to unleash whatever you have collected.
Her desperation allows her to enter the opponent's field. Once you activate her desperation, she will naturally being to spin and will be able to intercept the opponent's field. Be aware that her movements have decreased to a crawl, and her dash in contrast are incredible fast, maybe too fast as you may find it uncontrollable. But in turn you may enter the opponent's field to mess around, keep them from having control of the ball, and perhaps any other type mischief you can discover.

And that is all of the characters. May these announcements help you in the upcoming second demo and the future full version. There are further plans after the game is released, and no doubt future characters will make an appearance, so this won't be the end of the roster reveals. For now, come back to these announcements when the second demo is released.
