Into The Gloom 1.1.0 is OUT! now with Steam Achievements and many fixes.

Hello there guys, the game was finally updated after around 2 years!

Previously the game was running in Unity Engine V4 which had many limitations about Steamworks integration, it didn't matter how much I fixed it was never going to get the Steamworks features. Feeling a bit guilty about "abandoning" the game and the forums, I decided to try porting it again to newer unity version. As expected, everything was broken, it took me some time to get it back working to what I expect will be the final version of this small horror adventure. The changes can be seen below.

  • Engine version changed (Ported from Unity 4 to unity 5)
  • Added Steam Achievements!
  • Added Cloud save and local file system [Will no longer save in Windows registry].
  • Vsync option added. Game no longer capped at 60.
  • Fixed several grammar mistakes.
  • Fixed some minor game bugs.
  • Fixed several cursor related glitches.
  • Inventory/Dialogs/Menus UI will now scale according to the resolution.
  • Cutscenes now show the texts faster, but let you skip the dialogs at will.
  • The scene where you are caught inside the cage can now be skipped (When not the first time).
  • TV remote control is now much more responsive to user input.
  • Improved resolution selector; Only compatible monitor resolutions will show now.
  • Added some emergency exit signs in the parking level.
  • WASD instructions graphic added to "The nowhere" map.
  • Small graphic changes in some UI elements.
  • Player is no longer able to move after being caught by the shadow.
  • Warning screen can now be skipped.

Wishing you all the best,
Emmanuel (earrgames).
