This update focuses on improving the overall feel of the game, especially the visual presentation, Overload gameplay, HUD clarity, and moment-to-moment combat feedback. The game is starting to look a lot closer to the direction I always wanted for it, instead of looking like Unity and pain had a child.
What’s new
Improved Visual Direction
The game now has a more cinematic sci-fi look, with stronger lighting, deeper shadows, better contrast, improved color grading, and a more polished atmosphere across the maps.
Overload Mode Improvements
Overload has received more work to make matches feel more intense and readable. The mode now has clearer feedback when the Overload state is active, including better HUD warnings and stronger visual effects around the weapon.
Updated HUD Feedback
The HUD has been improved to make important information easier to read during combat, including objective status, squad information, ammo, abilities, and Overload progress.
Weapon Energy Effects
Weapons now have improved visual feedback during Overload, with stronger energy effects and a more aggressive sci-fi feel.
Lighting and Atmosphere Pass
Several scenes have been adjusted with better lighting balance, less flat exposure, stronger mood, and more contrast between warm industrial lights and cold sci-fi tones.
General Polish
This update also includes small fixes, tweaks, and improvements across gameplay systems, UI, and presentation.
What’s next
I’ll keep improving the game step by step, with more work planned for game modes, maps, visuals, weapon feedback, balancing, and overall polish.
Thank you to everyone playing, testing, and giving feedback. Every update brings the game closer to the version I want it to become.
See you in the arena.
