Great news, we are making great progress with the community edition which will include all of the features and opportunities below. Remember, the community edition and all of it's features and bonuses will be open to everyone who currently owns a copy of AoF World Online and for everyone who purchases this version in the future.
The Community Edition Will Include:
1. Server Application with Scripts - All players will have the opportunity to play the game locally on their computer independently using the server application. All players can edit the scripts as they see fit and make custom mods to how the game plays like unlimited drops, invincibility etc (these features will be reserved when you play locally on your computer. Modifying scripts will not change the games you play online on our servers).
*The server and scripts are for single player use. You will NOT be able to host the server for other players to play on. That option is reserved for the Partner Server DLC.
2. Workshop - The workshop will be open and made available for all players to submit modified scripts with their own story versions, language translations, custom mods to the battle system, quests etc. There will also be an option for players to sell their mods or buy mods from other players. We will even include tutorials for the scripting which is very simple to learn and modify.
3. Fasaria World Online free access key - ALL players will get a free access key to create an account and play Fasaria World Online at no addition cost. This offer will become a regular part of the Community Edition and will require no addition fee, requirements to meet or any extra process to earn. This is a $9.99 value and we will supply one key to be redeemed per account, per game. 4. Art & Media Contests and Workshop Submissions - We will be organizing contests for Art & Media. Almost anything can be submitted for the game. This will include UI design, story video, menus etc. All content can also be uploaded to the workshop for players to download for free or sale.
5. New Partner Servers Added to Play On - As we get more partners, we'll be adding them to our official server list that players can choose to play on. Some partner servers will include modified scripts, story, quests etc. Each partner will have their server description and info posted on steam for players to view
6. News and Updates - We will be announcing new user submitted mods and scripts in our news. Every time something new is submitted, we'll make an announcement.
7. We are working hard to add more value to this game and community in spite of some of the challenges we've met along the way. We'll continue to find better ways of improving opportunities for our player base and community.
