MORE BUGS! *-*

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a reimagining of the game since 2019:

Debugger 3.16 // Recoded on Steam

Why?

While developing Hack'n'Run, I reached my limits and wasn’t able to bring all of my ideas to life. This was partly because my programming skills weren’t as advanced back then, but also because of the engine I used to develop the game. That engine is no longer being developed and didn’t offer the same possibilities I gained after switching to Unity.

Unity gave me the freedom to fully explore all of my ideas. That’s why I rebuilt the entire game from ground up as Debugger 3.16 // Recoded!

Everything has been reprogrammed and redesigned!

This time, the game features significantly improved gameplay, local 4-player co-op, more levels, greatly enhanced graphics and animations, and, of course, gamepad support!

The original game could only be played with a keyboard, and hacking, one of its most important features, required cumbersome keyboard input. Now, everything can be controlled comfortably with a gamepad.

While Hack'n'Run was primarily designed as an educational game, Recoded focuses much more on gameplay and entertainment.

Even though you no longer need any programming skills to hack things in the game, you’ll still get an insight into the world of functions and variables. Whenever you hack something, the original Unity C# code is displayed on an in-game screen!

It will still take some time before the game is completely finished, as I can currently only work on game development in my spare time alongside my main job.

However, if you like what you’ve seen so far, I’d be incredibly happy if you added the game to your wishlist! :)

Take care and GAME ON! ^^
