We’ve spent months building, breaking, and refining Raiders Rise alongside you. Now, we are officially closing the chapter on our Playtest phase to prepare for our biggest milestone yet: The Official Steam Demo Launch.
🛑 The Playtest is Ending
The Playtest feature has served its purpose beautifully, but it is now retired.
New Players: Sign-ups for the Playtest are officially closed.
Current Testers: The Playtest build will disappear from your Steam Library later this week.
The "Core 10": For our loyal squad who has been with us through thick and thin—don't worry. We will be manually sending you private access codes so you can jump into the Demo build early. Check your Discord DMs soon!
🗓️ Save the Date: May 15th @ 4 PM CET
This isn't just a "test" anymore. This is an Event. On May 15th at 4 PM CET, we are dropping the Demo. We only get to release our first demo once, and we’re going big with synchronized announcements across all our social channels.
Pro Tip: Keep an eye on our main Steam page. In just a few days, you'll see the official "Demo coming on May 15th" banner appear!
🛠️ What’s New in the Demo?
The Demo is a polished slice of the Raiders Rise experience, specifically designed to smooth the landing for new players. We’ve focused on removing the friction, so you can spend less time figuring out the menus and more time surviving the surface.
24/7 Access: No more "forced coordination" windows. The servers stay open—play whenever you want!
The World: Explore Planet Urban, fully optimized and ready for chaos.
The Roster: Three of our 10 iconic characters are ready for deployment: Kathy, Kurt, and Baba.
Persistent Progression: Get a head start with the Battle Pass and Character progression. ALL progress made in the demo carries over to the full game. This means if you unlock a character now, they’ll be waiting for you the second the full version launches!
Tutorial & Polish: New to the raid? We’ve added a comprehensive tutorial and massive UI/movement improvements.
🎁 Shaping the Future: Early Adopter Rewards
We are preparing exclusive content for our early adopters—unique perks to show off your status as a founding Raider. We want you to help us decide what those rewards should be. Join the [Discord] to participate in the polls!
📢 Important Notes
Steam Next Fest: This demo will be live for the upcoming Next Fest! While we hope to keep it up, we may take it down after the event to implement final stability fixes based on your feedback.
Specs: We’ve optimized for a wide range of hardware. As long as you have a basic dedicated GPU, you’re cleared for landing. See the full requirements on our main Steam store page.
The Final Push is here. The Demo is the final bridge before our Full Release. Get ready—the hunt begins in earnest on May 15th.
See you on the surface!
