Kung Fu Masters, challenge accepted!
Kungfu Card is still in active development, and our next update, featuring the new Wing Chun martial school and balance adjustments, is scheduled for September 7, 2026.
This update will introduce the new Wing Chun martial school, expand the Wandering Guard school with new content, and include balance adjustments for several other schools, along with various improvements to the overall match experience and game content.
We've also got more new content in development! Starting with this update, we'll be sharing development updates through Steam announcements to give you all a better look at what's coming, including previews of new martial schools, cards, and upcoming updates.
First up, we're taking a look at the new Wing Chun martial school and new cards for the Wandering Guard school.
New Free Martial School: Wing Chun
We'll be adding Wing Chun as a new free martial school in an upcoming update. Here's a preview of some of its cards:
The cards featured here showcase one of the playstyles we're currently exploring for Wing Chun:using suits to expand your options while gradually setting the pace of your offense. We hope Wing Chun will add even more room for mind games and strategic decision-making!
Keep in mind that these cards are still in development, and their effects and values may be adjusted further before the update goes live.
New Content for the Wandering Guard School
In addition to the new martial school, we'll also be adding more Principles and Techniques to the existing Wandering Guard school.

In terms of playstyle, we'll be keeping the Wandering Guard's existing identity while giving the school more options on both offense and defense.
The newly revealed Golden Bell and Palm Strike bring new options:
Golden Bell gives the Wandering Guard a chance to go all in, while also providing a way to survive in the most desperate situations.
Palm Strike, meanwhile, opens up more possibilities during matches, such as turning your opponent's own moves against them.
We're still working on more Wandering Guard cards, and we'll be sharing more previews in the future.
More Updates on the Way
We've been making ongoing adjustments to things like AI, Campaign Mode, turn timers, animation pacing, damage feedback, and more.
And there's plenty more on the way beyond Wing Chun and the new Wandering Guard content, including more martial schools, cards, and other game updates. Once the full schedule is confirmed, we'll share more details through Steam announcements and our roadmap.
