Linux/SteamOS native version of Animal Pattern is now available for download.
While the game runs excellently with the Proton compatibility layer, the native version should use less disk space, as there is no need for the game compatibility folder.
Since the game is already lightweight, there is no noticeable performance increase on most systems. It should perform the same as the Windows version.
If you are using Linux, Steam should automatically download the native version when installing the game.
If your game is already installed on Linux and you did not see an update, go to the game properties, Compatibility tab, and uncheck "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool", or choose Steam Linux Runtime in the Compatibility tab drop-down menu.
