PATCH NOTES - v0.4.1
🎮 GAMEPLAY 🎮
Added special Strongbox containers in all key rooms. Strongbox rarity scales with the rarity of the loot room. For example, a blue key room Strongbox will be better than a green key room Strongbox. Strongboxes are guaranteed to contain items, attachments, and gear of their matching rarity. Start farming those keys!
Made all containers in locked rooms guaranteed to spawn
Lowered key spawn rates but added more key barters to traders. More key barters become available as you level up the traders
Decreased the rate of fire on snipers to better differentiate them from marksman rifles as slower shooting but harder hitting
Added iron sights to all snipers
Added options to toggle Damage Indicators, Hit Markers, and Tutorial Screens
Added yellow hit markers for headshots (red still appears if the shot was the killing blow)
🕛 PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS 🕛
I did a first pass on some optimizations for the game. There may be more in the future, but this should help smooth things out for most players
Optimized Ridge Town to give better performance, especially on lower-end machines
Added new Environment Visibility option in the Video settings. High means less object pop-in but less performance while Low increases performance but can also increase object pop-in
Dead enemy bodies will now de-spawn if the player gets too far away. If they had loot on them, they will be replaced with a body bag that contains all their items. The color of the body bag indicates the type of enemy it replaced. This will improve performance during long raids where many enemies are killed by reducing ragdoll physics calculations and not rendering the dead bodies even when they are out of sight. The body bags will not be rendered if the player cannot see them (unlike enemy ragdolls) which should boost performance
🐞 BUG FIXES 🐞
Fixed an issue where Spitters would initialize incorrectly and become invincible and take no actions
