Hey whats up, heres a new patch.
This week i have been mainly focusing on working more on combat, as well as polish and fixing performance issues.
Patch notes:
- Fixed a bug where the player couldnt target and build the roof.
- Fixed a bug where wood chopping quest would track.
- Fixed a bug where workers couldnt do damage when having a club equipped
- Fixed a bug where bandits couldnt damage or kill the player
- Formations: made it so when the workers are in guard mode and following the player, they will detach from the formation when engaging in combat, and when combat is over, they will go back into formation and continue following the player.
- Made it so workers would aggro if they see enemies and are currently following the player around. Raid mode:
- Added a new feature! Now bandits will appear and starts to raid your base, so watch out. They can destroy your base and everything you have built, so prepare your base.
- Added health to all buildings, including walls, storages, workbenches etc so they can take damage and be destroyed
- Added physics to roofs, so they will fall if the walls underneath them break. Bandits:
- Fixed the bandit logic, so now they will only taunt once when entering combat, instead of before they would taunt every time they had to attack and it looked kind of silly.
- Archer bandits can now deal damage to structures with arrows. Polish:
- Added smoke effect when placing down a building piece.
- Added smoke effect when converting a preview piece to a final piece. Graphics + optimization
- Removed some of the post processing effects as they were causing performance issues, as well as toning down the fog.
- Reduced the frequency in which workers would check for resources, since they dont need to do it so often, this also caused a performance overhead, so the game should run a lot smoother now.
