Version 1.0.4 Update
Hey y'all, SkitHeadGames here! It's been a while since my last post on A Safe Place Chapter One, let me start off with the new update. The game has now been updated to version 1.0.4, nothing too major has been added to this new build, but what's been changed is
Typo's have been fixed, there shouldn't be anymore typos
Removed the outdated 2025 release date you see at the start of the game
Fixed a few graphical errors and collision errors
Made the Jess and Bohris fight more balanced, should be easier now
The footstep pathway in Sheldon's dream is now completely visible
Added a secret character you can find near John
There are now 2 new sneak peak images you can find, wonder how long it'll take for you to find them ;)
Progress Report
That's all for the v1.0.4 update, hopefully it makes the experience a little more fun, now on to the juicy stuff, I've been a bit quiet lately, mainly because I've been focusing how the games going, adding more cut-scenes, boss fights, more dialogue and a lot more assets and graphics. Because of this, I've got more little sneak peaks for the full release of Chapter One! (Note: A few scenes are Early Gameplay Footage, some things are subject to change!)

Unfortunate news on the 2026 release.
We're nearing the end of 2026, and Chapter One is far from finishing, still got plenty of work to finish and I REALLY don't wanna release a rushed and buggy game, so it's with a heavy heart that I announce that a 2026 date is NOT possible in the games current state. :(
2027 Release??
This time, I'm not gonna make any promises, my goal is to release Chapter One sometime in 2027, but I can't confirm if that time-frame is possible. However, A Safe Place is NOT cancelled whatsoever, I severely underestimated how long it would take me to make this game, plus a lot of unexpected life-changes has kinda slowed down the development of this game. But the bottom line is A Safe Place is still in development and Chapter One will drop when it's ready, I REALLY appreciate your patience you're all having with this game. Hopefully in time, a proper time-frame for a release date will be announced, but for now, the game has no set release date, just a rough 2027 release estimate.
Almost 200 Downloads!
We're getting really close to 200 downloads! We're currently sitting at 193 downloads at the time of this post, as I said before, there may be a small surprise for when we hit the 200 download milestone. You'll just have to wait and see... ;)
Aaaaannnnnd That's pretty much it for this update, the demo got a bit of an update, more work is being done on the full version of Chapter One, and the release date has been pushed to 2027 (roughly), hopefully I can come out with more information sooner rather than later!
