Gunslingers,
We’re proud to bring you an updated demo of Tombwater. If you’ve played before, we invite you to give the new and improved version a try, as there’s some meat to these changes!
Demo updates:
New Feature: “Stagger” mechanics
Weapons now deal a variable amount of “stagger” points in addition to their other listed effects. Once sufficient “stagger” points have been accumulated onto an enemy, they will enter a “staggered” status effect and become temporarily stunned.
New Loadout: The demo now has several additions to the equipment shop, allowing players who have previously experienced the demo to try out a few new charms and spells before launch:
Threads of Fate spell (must purchase Visceral Eye)
Ghost Caravan Wheel Spell (must purchase Caravan Eye)
Quicksilver Spur charm
Spiderwounds charm
Feature Adjustment: “Ghost Seeds” (the item which allows you to recall your Wraith from the last death location) can now be utilized anywhere, instead of only at specific locations.
New Camera Option: “Look Ahead” toggle in the options menu allows the camera to move somewhat ahead of the character if you press against a wall.
New Difficulty Option: “Corpse Run” mechanic can be turned off in the options menu, if a player desires a less challenging experience without worrying about loss of resources during a runback.
Game Balance: Widespread balancing pass across all weapons and spells
Over 150 bug fixes
UI Improvements
Performance Improvements
Tombwater will be participating in February’s Next Fest starting on Feb. 23. We really appreciate your support of the demo! If you like the experience, please leave us a review and wishlist the game. It really helps a lone cowboy out. You can also join our Discord to talk to the devs, give feedback, and get future updates.
Stay safe and be wary of the madness.
