Hi everyone!
We realized that while we've been sharing development progress on other social media platforms, we haven't done a good enough job keeping our Steam community updated. We know many of you follow LIMINAL POINT exclusively here, so that's something we're going to change going forward.
First, an update on release timing: LIMINAL POINT is now planned for release in 2027.
The game has continued to grow considerably since we first announced it (a lot more combat options, crafting, more enemies than in the original scoped game), and we want to give ourselves the time needed to properly finish, polish, optimize, and generally try our best to make a great game rather than rush toward an earlier date. A lot of it is also feature requests from the players such as control remapping. Just that took weeks to implement that we hadn't in our initial plans
For those of you who still haven't still our latest trailer, please take a look below.
Another big change since our original plans is that LIMINAL POINT is now also being developed for consoles. Bringing the game to additional platforms means extra work, controls, UI, testing, platform-specific requirements, and certification. We're a very small team(we're just two people), so supporting multiple platforms properly adds development time, but we're excited to be building LIMINAL POINT for a much wider audience.
Development is very much active, and we're making steady progress across the game, environments, combat, enemies, cinematics, animation, optimization, world and story.
Over the coming months, we'll also start sharing more of that work directly here on Steam, including new environments, gameplay progress, behind-the-scenes development, and more.
We're a very small team, and we're incredibly grateful for the amount of interest LIMINAL POINT has received. Seeing so many of you following and wishlisting the game means a lot to us, and we want the finished game to live up to that support.
Also, if you know anyone who likes the type of game we're making please make sure to let them know. We need all the wishlists we can get to get more visibility.
Thank you!
