Howdy Snanchers!
It is now!! Scaling Up is finally here!
This incredible journey of development has been AMAZING so far! To release a second game is an experience that seemed like a dream to us.
We always wanted to develop a cozy game and we are really happy we finally made it! We also learned a lot with this game on how to deal with the game's scope and other parts of development. Everything is a learning experience and will help us develop better games in the future.
People may ask: "Why Snakes?"
And the answer is mostly: "Why not?"
But to dive a bit deeper in this, the idea of Snakes actually came from the word Scaling inside the theme of Scaling Up something. Since the idea of the theme guided us to a game about managing something and we always enjoyed cozy farming games, we came up with the idea of a Snake Ranch and the collection of their Scales, in order to Scale Up the whole Ranching. That is really the only reason behind why "Snakes" were the centre of the entire thing. I hope this was fun trivia about the game. :)
It was interesting to develop a new experience that has a relaxing and calm approach, in contrast with our previous game which is heavy on action and chaos. Even the whole process seemed more relaxing in general just by that. Funny, eh?
Let's start ranching?
With that said, let's think about:
What's next?
As players will notice when starting the game, there are multiple ranches to unlock in the game right now, but one of them is not available yet. What type of Ranch will it be? Stay tuned to check it out! Our Scout Snakes are pioneering a new path towards a new area!
The 4th area will come with more things to unlock and collect, and a different approach to starting the Ranch, as the available materials in the start will be different. Players will be able to get the trigger that will unlock this 4th Ranch early (I won't spoil how it is done though), so when the time comes, it will be available immediately for those who acquired it in advance.
Keep an eye on a future notice about this update!
We hope everyone enjoy their day like these Seal Snakes and have fun in Scaling Up building a beautiful Snanch at their own pace!
