Hello, this is the Horizon Walker Development Team.

First, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all Human Gods who continue to support Horizon Walker.

In this Developer Note, we are introducing a new growth feature: the Demi-God Ascension System.

The Demi-God Ascension system is designed to provide new growth opportunities for Vanguards and strengthen long-term gameplay motivation. Beyond simple stat increases, the system is built to introduce meaningful changes to combat composition and strategic decision-making

1. Design Intent

Demi-God Ascension is a growth system where Vanguards awaken into a new form by accepting a portion of the Human God’s power.  Through this system, we aim to:

• Expand the usability and value of existing Vanguards

• Introduce new strategic options in combat

• Provide long-term progression goals

In particular, the system is designed to encourage more diverse Vanguard compositions and deepen overall combat strategy

2. Demi-God Ascension Structure

Demi-God Ascension is performed using exclusive items on Vanguards that meet specific conditions. These items can be obtained by playing newly added content.

• Demi-God Ascension does not consume Credits or Extercium.

Once Demi-God Ascension is completed, the Vanguard gains two new exclusive functions distinct from their original abilities.

• UI shown is under development and may change upon release.

3. Core Systems: Authority & Divinity

1) Authority (Executor of the Divine King Exclusive Effect)

Demi-God Ascended Vanguard can be deployed as the party leader in place of the Human God.
Authority only activates when the Vanguard is deployed as the Human God’s proxy. Authority provides:

• Cost-Ignore Deployment  → Since the Vanguard replaces the Human God, they can be deployed regardless of maximum cost

• Authority Skill Added  → Each Vanguard gains 1 fixed Authority skill

• Authority Stat Conversion  → Primary stats are restructured and increased to match the Human God's position

Authority is not simply a power boost, but rather grants a new leader-class combat role that replaces the Human God.

• Authority cannot be used in certain content where the Human God is not deployed, such as Dopamine Channel content.

•

2) Might (Passive Effect)

Mights are always active regardless of deployment position.

• 1 Might effect is gained upon Demi-God Ascension

• Effects may be random or fixed depending on the item used

• Multiple skill types and levels exist

Divinity allows even identical Vanguards to develop differently, providing greater individuality and growth diversity.

4. Acquisition & Growth Path

Resources required for Demi-God Ascension are primarily obtained through War Content.

• Guaranteed acquisition through first-clear rewards

• Gradual progression through repeated play

This makes Demi-God Ascension a progression-based growth system, rather than a simple unlock mechanic.

Closing

The Demi-God Ascension system is designed to expand the value of existing characters while introducing meaningful changes to both combat and progression.

The system will continue to expand through future updates.

We will continue working hard to provide content that meets your expectations.

Thank you.
