Happy Winter Solstice! Today marks the longest night of the year and also the first day of winter in Seasonala Cemetery -- if you play the game starting today you’ll see the cemetery in its full winter glory.
Winter is one of my favourite times of year to visit cemeteries in real life. It’s the most quiet and serene time to visit, aside from the non-migratory birds like blue-jays, cardinals, and starlings who keep the cemetery from becoming too quiet (you may even hear them in the game). We hope you enjoy visiting the cemetery during this season.
Awards
Some exciting news! Seasonala Cemetery has been nominated for IndieCade’s Visual Design Award and we also recently were honoured with an Indie Game Awards’ Indie Vanguard award!! We’re so very grateful to be recognized, and are honoured to be nominated / named as vanguards alongside so many of our favourite games.
1.2.1 Patch
I recently put in a small patch to fix some issues with missing audio and a missing reticle. If you update the game both of those issues will be fixed!
Thank you
Thank you to everyone who’s played the game over this past year! Since launching in June, over 60,000 people have played Seasonala Cemetery (which is approximately 59,995 more people than I expected). We appreciate every single person who’s played the game: the fact that you took time out of your day to play our little game means the absolute world. Thank you.
We hope 2026 is a good year for you all. May your winters be warm (or summers be cool, if you’re playing in the southern hemisphere), and see you in the new year!
