Hello Starfinders ⭐
Last week we introduced the Minister of Flesh. This week we were planning to show you the hotbar redesign, but there are still a few things we want to finish before we show it properly, so it will need to wait til next week.
Instead, today we take a look at one of the Solarian weapons you will be wielding in Afterlight.
Solarian Weapons - The Morningstar
The Solarian is one of the classes in Starfinder: Afterlight. Instead of carrying conventional weapons, Solarians manifest them directly from stellar energy. Their weapons shift between two modes: Photon, channeling the blazing power of a star, and Graviton, drawing on the dark pull of a black hole.
Shape explorations for the weapon, the goal was a design that could work on both modes, Graviton and Photon, while feeling distinct in each.
With the shape selected, the team explored different material and color directions for both modes. Dark and void-like for Graviton, blazing and radiant for Photon.
The Graviton mode in 3D. Once the design was locked, the sculping began.
Both modes in action, Graviton and Photon with VFX (WiP), as you will see them in Early Access.
Next Week:
(This time for real)
The hotbar, redesigned. Built from the ground up to accommodate Starfinder 2e rules, no easy feat.
See you in the Drift 💫
