Major Update - 0.5.0 Announcement.
Logistic & Module Placement Rework Incoming A quick look at what’s coming — aiming for alpha testing in the next weeks.
Resource & Production Changes: The game has too many resources, even at Tier 1. It feels bloated, and crafting was taking too much of the spotlight. So I’m streamlining it. Key changes:
• Unified resource types Mining Iron, Copper, or Nickel now gives you Raw Metal. Only the amount you get will vary — same idea for Crystals, Gases, and Unstable materials.
• New rare material: Nanite Nanite is a mysterious substance you might randomly extract. No one knows where it comes from, but it's tied to the story.
• Simplified recipes Instead of tons of plates and ingots, recipes will use broad components like:
Structural Components
Structural Components
Electrical Components
• Production module rework
Each module will now only handle 1 or 2 recipes max. Think of how Fuel Modules work now — less menu clutter, more focus on base-building.
Module Placement Overhaul
The RTS building system is getting a full usability pass. What’s changing:
• Smoother placement & navigation
• Better visual feedback
• Full mouse support
• Tutorial Revamp
Once the above is in, I’ll be reworking the tutorial completely. Proper steps with trigger conditions. Focus will start on RTS gameplay while Mining, ship gameplay, and deeper systems will come after.
That’s it for now! Should be ready for testing very soon and as such, I'll open a channel on the discord where people can apply to become alpha testers.
