First Map Extension Arriving!
We're excited to announce the launch of our first map extension on May 29th. Four brand-new and unique stations have been added into 4km of new quad track between Pine Street and Founder's Square: Purple Bridge, Bank, Royal Gardens and Rosengard Street.
Players can now experience a more diverse experience with the addition of express trains, which will bypass three of the four new stations. This bypass allows express services to overtake local trains, saving approximately 4 minutes off the full route and creating new possibilities for players to pass each other.
Beyond the expanded rail network, this update also delivers a host of performance improvements and bug fixes, ensuring a smoother experience. We've also enhanced multiplayer functionality, introducing password-protected lobbies for more private and controlled gameplay sessions.
What's Next?
We're committed to continue updating Metrogether with exciting new content. Our immediate focus for the coming months includes:
- Player Dispatchers: Players will be able to replace the automatic Dispatchers that route incoming and outgoing trains at some of the stations.
- Next Map Extension: Our next map extension will utilize the downtime in the quad track section as every track is only used once every six minutes at the moment.
Both of these are planned for Late June/Early July.
