We have spent much of the last few months making smoother sailing for our players and optimizing many systems for better overall framerate, decreased hitching, and allowance of complex systems. With this comes an awaited feature of terrain destroying worms, showcasing the impacts of these improvements.
⚙️ Performance & Optimization
Farming - Reworked most of the farming logic, allowing for tens of thousands of plants and particle effects in an area with no performance impact!
Materials - Massive standardization, reduction, and improvements to materials and textures across the board resulting in huge gains.
Graphics Settings - Improved performance at each graphics tier with more differentiated graphical impacts at each level.
VRAM - Changes and improvements to texture streaming, material graph complexity, comprehensive graphics scalability specifications, resulting in big VRAM savings across the board.
Building - Watch other players placing thousands of building objects with no issues!
Water - Reduced CPU impact and hitches with water calculations and placement on the world.
