The first patch of the year focuses on some visual and performance improvements.
In a first revision of the build menu, all images have been replaced so that you can better see what you are actually building.
The particles have been dusted off and now require less power.
On the low and mid graphic settings, the way all objects are loaded has been improved, which reduces vram consumption without any visual compromises.
Patch Notes
New Building Menu Icons:
The building menu has been updated with new icons, making it much easier to see what you're about to construct.
Enhanced Beach Atmosphere:
Added new particle effects to the beach area, making it feel more lively and immersive.
Performance Improvements:
Optimized particle effects to improve overall performance.
(You may have to set your graphics settings in the game, not in the main menu, once, from e.g. high to low or on to off and back)
Reduced VRAM usage on low and mid-quality settings by approximately 15%, allowing for better performance in cases where VRAM is a bottleneck.
This optimization can also enhance loading times from storage, reduce RAM usage, and improve CPU efficiency—leading to smoother gameplay on lower-end systems.
Collision Fixes:
Improved colliders to prevent falling through the world and getting stuck inside buildings.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed various timers to ensure pets continue functioning properly. Previously, they could stop working in rare cases when browsing shops on high-quality settings.
Gameplay Tweaks:
Increased run speed by 20%, allowing for faster movement across the world.
Enjoy the update, and as always, let me know if you find any issues!
