Welcome to the First Devlog of
Dress the Duel!
Hey everyone! This marks the very first development update for Dress the Duel.
It’s been 2 years, 3 months, and 10 days since the very first line of code was written —
yep, we checked the initial Git commit:
commit 477ac71b47f4059da026571c7c184d24d1f8aed0
Date: Sat Jul 22
Initial commit
Since then, Dress the Duel has grown from a tiny prototype into something we’re really proud of.
We wanted a place to share that journey with you — so expect regular devlogs here on Steam,
featuring behind-the-scenes updates, new gameplay mechanics, and design insights.
What is Dress the Duel?
It’s a deck-building roguelike where your costumes are your cards.
Build outfits, layer styles — check out the store page for the full overview!
When Can You Play?

Early Access: includes 2 characters and ongoing balance updates
Full Release: expands to 3 characters, plus lots of surprises!
Devlog #1 — A New Narrative System
For our first showcase, here’s a peek at the new narrative system!
Previously, conversations were simple one-line dialogs with a few choices.
Now, the playable character actually talks to others. This gives each scene more life and personality.
Check out the video below to see it in action:
