ZOMVIRUS UPDATE 4
Hello,
this is Jooyoo, the developer of ZOMVIRUS.
We’re back with the fourth update.
I originally thought I could finish this update within a week,
but while testing together with multiplayer features, more bugs appeared than expected.
As a result, I’m back after two weeks.
During that time, I received a lot of feedback,
and I’ll be addressing them step by step through future updates.
Now, let’s take a look at what’s included in this update.
1) Zombie AI Behavior Tree Renewal
Due to rapid early development,
the behavior-related code and feature-related code had become tangled.
With this update, these systems have been clearly separated,
allowing zombie behavior to feel smoother and more natural.
You’ll now encounter zombies that roam around the map,
instead of just standing still.
You never know where a zombie might appear.
Experience a more tense and frightening ZOMVIRUS.
2) Zombie Sound Update
There are currently 15 types of zombies in ZOMVIRUS.
Previously, all zombies shared the same sound effects.
With this update,
each zombie type now has its own distinct sounds.
Let me know which zombie you find the scariest.
Your feedback is always welcome.
Closing
The more I work on development,
the more I realize how difficult it is to create natural zombie-like AI.
I’ll continue studying and improving
to make zombies feel even more realistic.
I’ve received a lot of feedback on Discord as well.
I’ll organize everything and try to reflect it in future updates.
Feel free to leave comments, reviews, or messages on Discord anytime.
Thank you for your continued support.
