SCP: Destruction Protocol – Major Update 0.2.0 (Entrance Zone Overhaul)
This update brings a complete overhaul of the Entrance Zone, significantly improving navigation, gameplay flow, and overall immersion. It also introduces new systems, visual upgrades, and a wide range of fixes.
Entrance Zone Overhaul
Completely reworked corridor system, including straight, corner, T-shaped, and X-shaped layouts
Improved level structure by dividing the Entrance Zone into distinct sectors with color-coded markings
Reduced maze-like feeling to make navigation more intuitive and less frustrating
Added unique environmental elements and layouts to improve memorability of locations
Removed repetitive looping corridors
Objective paths are now more visually readable and easier to follow
Gameplay Improvements
Adjusted corridor angles to make encounters with SCP-173 more fair and controllable
Improved overall player navigation and spatial awareness
Character Dialogue System (New)
Added dynamic player character dialogues (subtitles for now)
The character now reacts to in-game events
Provides hints and guidance during SCP encounters
Fully localized across all 8 supported languages
Visual & UI Updates
Redesigned main menu for improved atmosphere and presentation
Updated player hand model
Improved keycard interaction animations
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where the keycard could float during cutscenes
Fixed SCP-173 not spawning correctly due to trigger issues
Fixed clipping issues where the hand and keycard could pass through walls
Various fixes related to textures, object placement, shadow behavior, and draw distance
