Hello everyone! Robert here to give you an update on SurvivalWorld and the current state of the game.
First off, an explanation of why SurvivalWorld has stalled at update 0.5.0. The reason is essentially the same as why updates were delayed: university had taken up a large part of my time, along with various personal matters that meant I couldn’t devote the necessary time to SurvivalWorld. For this reason, I put updates and development in general on hold.
The future.
Up to this point, it might seem as though SurvivalWorld would end here, but the reality is that once I’d sorted out my previous issues, I decided to resume development. However, I faced a new challenge: following some problems with my computer, I lost all the original game files. Essentially, SurvivalWorld ceased to exist, so faced with this situation, I decided to take on the challenge of reprogramming the entire game from scratch – both the designs and the code. On the one hand, this is a bit of a pain, as everything I’d done was lost, but, as the title suggests, it opens a new chapter in the history of SurvivalWorld.
I’ll do my absolute best to launch the new version this month. It’ll still be SurvivalWorld, but with the slight twist of being ‘SurvivalWorld reimagined’ – because, although it’ll ultimately be the same game, it’ll be rebuilt from scratch. This will allow for new optimisations, which will make performance much better than before I’ll also be incorporating new mechanics that weren’t there before; as I’ll be having to create each one from scratch, I’ll be making a few changes and implementing some nice new features that I’m sure you’ll like.

Here are some screenshots I’ve taken. I’ve been programming for a week now, and I can already say I’ve completed about 50 per cent of the game. I’ve basically been working non-stop these past few days to release it as soon as possible, with the best quality and as few bugs as possible. Obviously, I won’t be releasing a product with features that were there before but aren’t now. The version I release will be the same as the latest current version in terms of content, with the difference that some aspects – such as magic – won’t be included, as I want to relaunch it in a more polished form.

I hope you like what I’m working on; I hope SurvivalWorld can stand out. For my part, I’ll be giving it my all!
Cheers!
