New Update: 0.3.0

Hello! It's been a while since the last update. I've been a bit busy with other aspects of my life, which is why I'm bringing this update.

This update is focused on Magic, bringing new mechanics, features, blocks, and more, which I'll show you below.

Note: I've postponed the Hydra boss until the next update, as it's a boss I want to dedicate development time to, so that the fight against it is a true experience. If I submitted it now, it would have been just another boss in the game, which I don't want to be. Therefore, it will be for update 0.3.1.

News!

Starting with the main course, MAGIC. Magic is an attribute we can unlock once we defeat the Skeleton Boss and craft the Magic Amulet.

This must be equipped in the new accessories section.

We won't lose it upon death.

How it works is that once the Magic Amulet is equipped, killing creatures will give us Mana. This Mana will be represented in a bar on the side of the HUD. Mana will also be used to learn spells and level them up.

To be able to use spells, we must learn and craft the Magic Cauldron to create the Magic Wand, which will allow us to cast spells at a specific Mana cost.

Currently, we have 6 spells:

  1. Magic Sphere Throw
  2. Throw enemies into the air
  3. Mana Magnetism (Will draw mana towards us)
  4. Magic Charged Beam and Healing Magic Charged Beam
  5. The latter will do damage like the former, except it will drain the life out of enemies.
  6. Double Jump

Once you kill the skeleton boss, a group of beings, part of a kind of magic-related society, will begin to watch you. Some will flee when you approach, while others will attack you with magical attacks.
Wizards:

In the Cauldron, we can craft Mana Essence: This will replenish our mana in exchange for health.
Golem Stones: When placed, these will be destroyed, generating a golem that we can have as an adventure companion, or simply wander around the area.

Changes:

The world creation menu now has a Rules section, where you can select whether you want animals to appear, trees, rocks, or bushes to be generated (the latter only applies to flat worlds), cheats, or a day/night cycle.

The inventory now features a more separate and simpler layout. Slots now only display durability and water bars, leaving a cleaner view.

Hotbar:

New set of Metal Brick Blocks:

Dynamite

This set comes with a new resource: Gunpowder, which is obtained by using charcoal in a mortar. Dynamite can destroy nearby trees, including built structures, so be careful. It can also be used as a method to kill creatures.

New items in general:

A little improvement about the design in Blueprints section:

Crafting panel in Workbenchs now is a bit smaller:

Fixed various bugs related to visuals, performance, a lighting issue with the character in the inventory, and more.

That's all for this update! Thanks so much for the support.
