Today we pushed the biggest update to the Economy server since release. The changes included are:
-Crates are now dropped in a separate timer (not part of the regular item drop timers)
-Added more items to the drop cycle
-Agent Trapper glasses are now ported over correctly
-Ensured all users have been issued the Volcano Spino
-Ensured all users who owned Agent Trapper DLC have been issued the Trapper Sunglasses
-Fixed incorrect item qualities on some items
-Improved currency conversions for Microtransactions to make them fairer across regions
-Stability fixes and performance improvements
-Fixed a Steam call returning invalid data; this should fix some oddities when it comes to item displays in Steam and Item Showcase
During this update there was a downtime of the Economy & in-game store for approximately 60 minutes. No data was lost during this downtime.
Trading & Marketplace
As per our mantra during early access, we're going to do a staged rollout of Trading and Marketplace over the next few weeks to make sure that the system is bug free. We know that you all want to be able to trade and put your items on the market, but the system is fairly complex and we want to stress test it to make sure that the system is stable; there'd be nothing worse than turning it on and having a broken system where you lose your items.
Right now, we've added trading to a variety of Common and Original items. Once we're confident that this is stable, we'll roll out Marketplace for common items, then Trading & Marketplace for Uncommon items, and finally Trading & Marketplace for Rare items.
Note that right now if you trade for an item while in-game, you will need to restart the game to see it in your inventory.
That Firewall Error
The next game patch should alleviate the firewall and connection issues that users have been seeing.
