Thank you for your continued support of “Keplerian Space Discovery.”
Here is an update on our progress in May and our goals for June.
May Progress
One major change we made was switching the calculation of the selected spacecraft’s orbit from using Kepler’s equations to using the equations of motion.
As a result, orbits that pass near celestial bodies have become more complex.
We believe this change will allow us to incorporate elements such as Lagrange points in the future.
We have also improved the part connection mechanics in the Vehicle Assembly Building.
There is still room for improvement in this area, so we will continue to refine it.
June Goals
In June, we plan to focus on payload assembly.
Currently, we can only launch a dummy payload called VEP-4, but we plan to enable players to launch their own payloads, such as satellites.
Payload assembly is essentially the same as the current rocket assembly process, so it isn’t particularly difficult; however, it takes a bit of time to prepare parts not found on rockets, such as solar panels.
Separately, we also plan to improve translations and enhance the help documentation.
