Hello!
It’s been about six months since I announced that a major update was coming to Ikode: Legacy of the Elements, and I wanted to give a quick update on where things stand.
I’m still hard at work on the update, and it has grown into something much bigger than I originally planned. At this point, it has become almost a full rework of the game, addressing many of the major storyline and gameplay issues based on the feedback I’ve received.
I had hoped to have the update ready in time for the Party-Based RPG Fest 2026, but while development is nearing completion, it simply isn’t ready just yet. I’d rather take the extra time to make sure everything is working properly than rush it out before it’s ready.
The current version of Ikode: Legacy of the Elements is fully playable, but because the update introduces significant changes and new scripts, existing save files will not be compatible with the updated version.
For that reason, if you’re interested in playing the game, I recommend waiting until the major update is released. That way, you’ll be able to experience the reworked version from the beginning without having to start over later.
The game is currently on sale this week as part of the festival, so if you’ve been interested in picking it up, now is a good time to do so.
Otherwise, thank you for your patience! I’m excited to finally get this update into your hands, and I’ll announce the release date as soon as I can.
My current estimate is that the update is only a few more weeks away.
Thanks again for your support!
