First of all, thank you to everyone that came by and tried The Funnel Demo over the weekend. It was great to see so many people both figure out and get stumped by the gear boxes, as well as explore the factory.
In case you missed it, half our team was at Vancouver Game Expo and the other half (myself) was at Comic Con Stuttgart. We had a great time and learned a lot from watching everyone play the game.
Demo Update:
One of the biggest takeaways from the festivals was that while people enjoyed the gameplay of The Funnel after figuring it out, there were a number of issues in communicating the rules of the game that resulted in people being confused longer than they needed to be.
In light of this, I'm stepping away from bug fixing the full game to do one more big demo update that will overhaul a lot of the tutorials and give the player a quicker sense of what The Funnel is all about.
This should be released in the next few days.
Choose Wisely Festival:
Lastly, The Funnel will be part of the Choose Wisely Festival A steam festival all about games with choices and branching narratives which begins on December 8th. Stay tuned for this as we'll have a brand new trailer to kick off the festival that will announce The Funnel's release date!
Thanks for reading and keep an eye out next Monday for that new trailer.
May the gears keep turning.
