Hi everyone,
It’s been a while since our last update, so we wanted to share where things stand with Age of Respair and what lies ahead.
When we revealed Age of Respair back in October 2024, our goal was to release it about a year later - in late 2025. But as development progressed, it became clear that we need more time to ensure the game reaches the quality we’re aiming for.
We want to share our vision and what we’re focusing on as we continue developing the game.
Our goal is not to release a rushed or half-finished game, but to deliver our complete vision. Age of Respair is a deeply personal project - we’re fans of the genre ourselves, and we want to create something exceptional that fully realizes our vision.
Strategy games live or die by how well-balanced and harmonious their systems are. We still have a lot of playtesting and fine-tuning ahead to make sure everything feels just right.
We’re putting a lot of effort into visuals - making the game look good without sacrificing clarity. We want everything in the game to be easily distinguishable in complex castle layouts while maintaining a very high fidelity.
Optimization is also a big priority. We’re working hard to ensure that Age of Respair runs smoothly even on mid-range hardware, so more players can enjoy it.
So, what’s next? Here’s a quick look at what’s coming:
Closed playtesting. A limited group of players will get access to the early version of the game. This will help us gather feedback on balance and stability.
Public demo. This version will include all core features, and your feedback will help shape the final stages of development.
Full release is now targeted for 2026.
We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on. There’s still a long road ahead, but we want to walk it together with the community. Our goal is to build a strategy game not just for players, but with players.
Thank you for your support and patience - it means the world to us.
