The Story Behind the Outfit
Whispers to the Diary:
This world is supposed to be perfect... isn't it?
Bound by the logic of a fairy tale, this dreamscape filters away every discordant sound and shadow. Here, I can shape every Shroomling's smile myself. Free from worries, all they need to do is adore me.
Avenita said I'm only one step away from becoming the perfect idol. All that's left is to stand on the biggest stage and be crowned in the cheers of every Shroomling.
In fairy tales, idols can turn rainbow clouds into their stage and summon miracles with a single wave of their hand. But for me, ever since the lights dimmed on that last talent show, the stage has felt like a black hole, swallowing the last scraps of courage left in my heart.
So when he looked at me through the thick mist, I lowered my gaze and forced a smile. "Maybe next time," I said.
Avenita's footsteps faded away. The mist closed in once more.
If I really stepped onto that stage... what if no one liked my performance? Would they grow disappointed in this dreamscape and leave?
—They most certainly would, just like the audiences in that show.
How very strange. I thought I had already cast away the part of me that wasn't good enough. So why is this perfection so fragile?

Questions of the Heart:
If "perfection" means making every Shroomling wear the same smile, then I'm not having it.
No sooner had I arrived in this strange place than I felt those rules were nothing but shackles. There had to be something behind them, some truth they were trying to hide.
I tried leading other Shroomlings in rebellion, but one by one, my fellow rebels disappeared, only for new rules to multiply like weeds. In the end, even I became avoided by everyone.
Had I been wrong? I never imagined that my headlong defiance would lead to this... yet I refuse to believe that forcing every Shroomling into the same mad mold is right! In fairy tales, the world becomes colorful because everyone has a different dream. Not like here, where every Shroomling's wish is dyed the exact same shade.
Her Excellency beckoned to me, and the voice called to me again, lingering in my mind. I could feel it—the truth lies beneath the Grace Dining Hall.
Come on, whether it's Celily or Roucoco. For Her Excellency, for Labobo and the others, for everything you've always believed in... let's make a difference.

Awakenings in the Real World:
Back in reality, I can finally take a good look at everything so different from that "perfect" dreamscape.
This morning, I stopped beside the stage. A prop Shroomling was hauling a roll of colorful silk—bigger than his own body—toward the backstage. The fabric trailed along the ground like a ribbon of flowing rainbow light. Nearby, a Shroomling who once danced for me hummed an ancient tune, and a young Shroomling hopping past tried to imitate him, letting the final notes drift all the way to the horizon.
Within those humming voices was a quiet strength that stilled everything around me, reminding me of that dreamscape. Every Shroomling there dreamed dreams tinged by my emotions, like a pot of thick soup with only a single flavor. But the sounds, scents, and colors before me now weave together in ways that are rough and unpolished, sometimes even clashing with one another. Yet it is precisely these raw, everyday moments that make this world feel so warm, so vibrant with life.
When I was little, my favorite fairy tale said that a colorful world isn't woven from identical dreams. It is shaped by countless different lives, each growing along its own path, each crossing paths with others—sometimes colliding into noise, sometimes sparking into light—until together they blend into the reality before our eyes. I didn't quite understand it back then. Now, from the bottom of my heart, I do.
In the distance, the morning light rises like a curtain slowly lifting. A new day begins again. Beneath the fading night, countless dreams are waiting to bloom, each shining with a brilliance as vivid and varied as a rainbow.

The Inspiration Behind the Design
The inspiration for Dreamtime Bestowed began with a simple question: What does the ultimate expression of dreamy sweetness look like?
Guided by an aesthetic of pure sweetness, the outfit is layered with confectionery details and bowknots, as light and airy as whipped cream. Accented with pink gemstones, elegant ruffles, and exquisite ribbons, it brings to life the perfect fairy-tale idol—radiant, enchanting, and straight out of a dream.

The Details Behind the Design
Dress: Opening Waltz
The dress takes the shape of a big, fluffy swirl of cream, light and sweet, just like a favorite petit four. The inner layers mimic whipped cream, while the outer layer resembles a delicate pink tulle wrapping. Finished with frosting-like patterns and shimmering gems, it becomes a beautiful little cake dress, freshly baked and ready to wear.

Hair: Gifted Sunlight
Sweet bowknot motifs run throughout the outfit, and the hair is no exception. The hairstyle is rich with whimsical details, each lending a touch of dainty surprise. From the front, lively double buns trail into long, spiraling ponytails, while the back reveals intricate braids intertwined with ribbons. Each ponytail is adorned with delicate strands of pearls, completing the dreamy look with a refined flourish.

Backpiece: Rainbow Chorus
Delicate tulle bowknots are often synonymous with sweetness. The backpiece bowknot of this outfit is designed with enough volume to complement the outer silhouette. The result is a flowing bowknot that arches like a rainbow bridge, with elongated trailing ribbons that scatter delicate frosting, making it sweet, dreamy, and wonderfully light.

Handheld: Honeyed Reverie
A playfully oversized dessert spoon was designed to match the outfit's "little cake" theme. Adorned with the signature bowknot and polished to a brilliant shine, it's only when both Nikki and her spoon are perfectly dressed that they can make a truly sweet entrance!

Headwear: Wandering Reverie
Steeped in fairy-tale sweetness, the outfit is brought to life alongside the unicorn, conjuring endless dreamy reveries. Its whimsical charm is amplified by the ribbon halo, and among the delicate ribbons, specks of sugar scintillate softly like starlight, as if a miniature galaxy dances across her head.

The Concept Behind the Ability
What kind of mount would a sweet fairy-tale idol have? It must be a unicorn: the very embodiment of dreams and fantasy!
More than a companion for the journey, it carries the same idol-worthy charm. Naturally, it loves to dress up: long, fluttery eyelashes frame its gentle gaze, a candy-polished horn gleams at its brow, and its mane curls like spun sugar. Even its coat shimmers with an iridescent, inviting sweetness. This enchanting unicorn steps toward her with graceful, dainty poise. They greet one another with a curtsy, dance in perfect rhythm, and as they set off side by side, leave a trail of rainbow candy glitter sparkling in their wake.
