Hello everyone!
A big thank-you to all of you who picked up SPORTAL! We are really happy with the reception so far.
Our current review score sits at 94% positive on Steam! While making the game, we quietly hoped to hit around 90% because we had a blast playing work-in-progress builds, and seeing you all have just as much fun confirms our instincts were right.
We're definitely not putting down our keyboards and mice anytime soon. We’ve been gathering your feedback and put together a fresh update to make the game even better.
Patch Notes
Adjusted the in-game economy by rebalancing several upgrade prices and tweaking monster coin drop rates. This stabilizes the game's flow, preventing players from becoming overpowered too quickly and keeping the challenge alive longer.
Reduced Mask damage output (they were significantly overpowered, making runs too easy and trivializing the challenge).
Reduced Frisbee damage to bring it in line with other weapons.
Reduced the shot count for deployed Bowling Ball turrets to prevent effortless enemy and boss clears.
Added extra arenas to each tier to extend run length, as players were reaching and defeating the final boss too quickly.
Fixed several community-reported bugs.
Optimized overall game performance with minor tweaks under the hood.
What's next for SPORTAL?
If the game picks up momentum and sells well in the coming months, we want to keep expanding it! We already have a couple of ideas in the pipeline, like an Endless Mode. If you are enjoying Sportal and would like to see more content, make sure to recommend it to your friends and spread the word!
Thanks for the support!
That is all for this update! If you like SPORTAL and haven't left a review on Steam yet, dropping one really helps the algorithm show the game to new players.
