Hey Managers!
As you've surely noticed, we're behind the roadmap we last announced, and we'd finally like to explain why.
As you know, from the very start our small studio has been trying to build a game that's as realistic as possible. And we'll admit it, in some parts of the game we maybe took that realism a little too far :) It might not look like it, but a management game this big, with all the detail we want to put into it, is a huge amount of work, and some parts took us far longer (way longer) than we originally estimated.
Since we announced Road to Major, several similar games have been announced and by now even released. So we've known for a while that we won't be the first to put out a game in this genre, and we decided there's no point rushing or fighting for extra visibility right now. We'd rather put a hundred percent of our focus into development. If nothing else, though, these events at least confirm what we believed from the start, that managers want this genre.
So what's the current plan? In short, the order of things stays the same, everything just shifts a little.
We have a group of excellent testers who've already run the first tests of our game's core mechanics. In September there'll be another closed test with plenty of new mechanics. We might need to bring in a few more testers, so keep an eye on our social media, where we'd announce it.
After all Closed Testing, and there might be more to come, we will release a Demo which will be available to everyone, though we don't have a date yet and we'd honestly rather not promise anything again. The moment it's clear, we'll come back to you with a date that will be final this time.
Only after the Demo, and once we've worked through the most important feedback, we do plan to release the game as Early Access.
And finally, so what have we actually been doing these past months? An event calendar with a timeline that already holds more than 30 tournaments in first 3 months of a season. We reworked the tournament system, which now includes every format actually used in REAL Esports, along with seeding, progression and prize pools. We're just finishing player transfers, which allow several types of moves (Transfer, Trade, Loan, Stand in) and include both the mandatory items and optional clauses and bonuses. A visualization system for jerseys, player faces and staff that allows thousands of combinations. A ranking system. We fine tuned map bans. A save system. Localization. And endless polishing and visual love for the UI :)
With everything coming together, we are eager to show you the work thats been done which we are endlessly proud of. Thank you for all your support. See you in our next meeting Managers!
