Hey Managers!
It has been a little while since our last check-in, and the logical question for you to ask is what we have been up to. In this diary, we are going to dive into the massive milestones we have focused on over the past few weeks, what is coming up next, and exactly what you should be getting excited about.
Let’s start at the beginning with our biggest mountain to climb, the integration of tournaments. It might look like a simple task from the outside, but the struggle was real. As many of you know, the world of esports is filled with a dizzying variety of brackets, seeding rules, and overall structures. We needed to create a system that mimics real-world professional circuits while remaining flexible enough to work for almost any event. Whether it is handling different formats, multiple stages, varying time zones, or tournaments that serve as qualifiers for even bigger ones, there are a lot of factors to consider. We had to account for everything from regional invites to the chaos of open qualifiers. Fortunately, we have found some very cool ways to pull this off without making compromises. I would love to share more of the technical side, but for now, that is all I am allowed to reveal.
After tackling the logic of the game, we moved on to the players and their pictures. This has been a fun experience for the team and gave us quite a lot of laughs during development. If you happen to spot a player who looks exactly like your favorite world class AWPer or a legendary rifler, just know that any resemblance to real life pros is a total "coincidence" and definitely not us having a bit of fun with the character creator! For the rest of the world, players will have unique random faces and features. If you are wondering what that look will be, check out our announcement of the Czech teams. The art style is going to stay consistent with that, while adding a massive variety of hairstyles and colors to keep the scouting experience fresh.
The beginnings were hard:)... but we managed to pull through!

That brings us to the future. We have decided to focus heavily on the match simulation and how the individual rounds play out. I cannot talk too much about the specifics yet since it is still deep in development, but you are definitely in for a treat. Meanwhile, we are looking to increase the map pool for our Demo. Yes you heard right, we hope to host yet another playtest before the Demo comes out to make sure everything is polished, but no promises for now. I will cover more of that in upcoming diaries in the future.
I guess that is it for now. It is a bit shorter than what you are used to, but on the bright side, we are increasing the frequency of these updates to two dev diaries a month. I am sure you will have questions, ask them below or join our Discord, I will be more than happy to asnwer them. Thank you for reading, and I will see you soon!
